Umaidpur being a traditional and conservative village, had limited infrastructure.
The internal roads were not properly constructed; farmers had to walk to their farms as connecting roads or panand roads were not constructed. It was arduous to walk on the roads; this added considerably to the farmers’ transportation expenses, as well.
Villagers also used to face problem of drinking water. Women had to walk long distances to fetch water for household use. Adequate water was not available for rearing animals and irrigation of the farms. Drainage systems of the village needed attention. Open drainage systems posed health issues for the village populace. Especially the kids and elders of the village faced many contagious diseases. The waste water was released in the common public usage areas including roads.
